- Position: Commercial Lines – Account Manager
Overview
A Commercial Lines Account Manager with Schroeder Insurance is responsible for managing new and renewal policies for our customers. Each set of customers has unique insurance requirements and interesting risk profiles. The CL Account Manager ensures timely and accurate coverage while providing superior customer service in accordance with Commercial Guidelines. Responsibilities- Identify exposures, obtain underwriting information and provide appropriate insurance coverage for clients
- Analyze exposures for new and renewal clients; prepare comprehensive submissions for marketing
- Prepare accurate policy summaries and claim reports as needed
- Work closely with internal departments: Claims, Sales, CSS and Accounting to achieve best outcome for client and agency
- Continue professional development and establish education goal with timeline for completion
- Follow all internal procedures and document all client activity carefully
- Understand potential for errors or omissions and seek guidance when necessary
- Maintain professional and productive relationships with both clients and colleagues
Qualifications
- Licensed P&C Producer, or willingness to successfully obtain license within 3 to 6 months of starting position
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience with an agency or carrier handling commercial accounts
- First-hand knowledge of underwriting procedures, rating plans and state and federal insurance laws
- Familiarity with the Applied EPIC insurance agency management system a plus
- Experienced user of MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- College degree preferred
- Appropriate professional designation(s) - CIC, AAI, CPCU, ARM a plus
- Outstanding customer service orientation

- Position: Personal Lines, Account Manager
Overview
The Personal Lines Account Manager works closely with other members of the team to deliver an outstanding customer service experience to our Personal Lines customer base. In addition to working with our clients, on day-to-day service needs, the PL Account Manager is responsible for coordinating the renewal process, organizing client review meetings and negotiating renewals with our carrier partners. This is an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within an established practice group.
Responsibilities- Perform customer service tasks: process policy changes, answer billing and general insurance coverage inquires
- Coordinate the renewal process with other team members including submission compilation, delivering schedules of insurance, scheduling renewal meetings and marketing negotiation with carriers.
- Work with management to continually improve our customer service offering through unique value-added services
- Provide proactive risk management advice to current clients
- Identify and close potential cross-sell opportunities
- Analyze exposures, obtain underwriting information and provide appropriate insurance coverages for new and renewal clients

Qualifications
- Technical knowledge of personal lines insurance products
- Aptitude to understand and analyze personal lines of coverages, forms and policies
- Intermediate user of MS Office products, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel
- Hands-on knowledge with Applied TAM, preferred

- Position: Commercial Lines Risk Manager (Sales)
Overview
The Client Executive takes the lead with new business opportunities, helping prospective clients identify risk profiles and obtain the best insurance coverage possible. This key role also strategizes with existing clients and drives business retention. The Client Executive partners with the service and marketing teams to ensure high customer satisfaction. This is a target-focused role with a compensation plan - one of the best around - that rewards results over both the short and long-terms.
Responsibilities- Develop, meet and exceed sales projections
- Actively generate new leads through community activities, association meetings and cold calls. Obtain expiration dates and other information to turn leads into prospects and clients
- Schedule and meet regularly with prospects and clients at their place of business to deliver service and to make sales presentations
- Submit data on potential accounts and renewals to the service team for processing, present proposals to prospects and clients, close sale and deliver policies
- Partner with the claims and service teams to manage complex insurance issues
- Promote the agency - and insurance industry - in the community
- Keep informed of industry developments, trends, new products, etc.
Qualifications
- Hold the appropriate License(s) to successfully perform the essential job functions
- First-hand knowledge of commercial insurance
- 3-5 years work experience as a commercial insurance producer, or equivalent
- Outstanding oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Willing to update prospective and current client information to the agency management system, as a way of forecasting business as well as for communicating with internal teams on client matters
- Fairly self-sufficient using office equipment such as a laptop, webcam, copier, conference phones and video conferencing programs
- Intermediate user of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Advanced insurance designations desirable
- Able to travel independently to meetings, conferences and/or client facilities
- Able to work in and contribute to culture of teamwork and cooperation

The Account Representative is responsible for providing sales support at the direction of the Account Executive. The Account Representative provides customer service by handling the day-to-day operations of clients' insurance needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops complete client information and applications for new and renewal business under the direction of the Producer or Account Executive.
- Processes change requests/endorsements, binders, certificates of insurance, account summaries, proposals, policies, lost policy releases, audit, and account balance status when requested.
- Maintains files with proper records according to company procedures. Maintains good internal file audits results.
- Assists in the development of strong business relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel. Recognizes and satisfies carrier goals and objectives in order to enhance business relationships.
- Ensures accuracy of account information for both new and renewal policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy in rating, coverage, signatures, and enters these transactions to generate billing invoices in a timely manner.
- Reviews all premium audits according to Agency procedures recognizing that the Agency must process in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
